Biography of the Presenter:
Zhu Qiuguo, Ph.D. in Engineering, is an associate professor and doctoral supervisor at Zhejiang University. He serves as the Executive Chairman of the 28th International Robot Competition IDC Robocon, Associate Editor-in-Chief of IET Cyber Systems and Robotics, and a member of the National Technical Committee on Robot Standardization. He is mainly engaged in the research of humanoid robots, bionic quadruped robots, machine intelligence, etc., and undertakes the research and development work related to the "Wukong" series of humanoid robots and the "Jueying" series of quadruped robots. The humanoid robot developed by him has achieved outdoor walking and trotting for the first time in China and has the ability to walk stably on uneven outdoor roads. The motion generation method for legged robots based on multi-expert learning proposed in his research was published in a sub-journal of the Science magazine. As the project leader, he has undertaken more than 10 projects, including national key research and development projects, National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, and Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects. He has published more than 50 academic papers, been authorized with more than 50 Chinese invention patents, and 3 international invention patents. He has won the first prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Award, the Top Ten Academic Achievements of Zhejiang University, and other honors.
