Agreement Signed Between ZJWEU and Zhejiang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology

On February 1st, Vice President of ZJWEU Xu Jinshou visited Zhejiang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology. The two sides signed a framework agreement to jointly build the Collaborative Innovation Center for Water Engineering Heritage Conservation and held the unveiling ceremony.

Xu Jinshou addressed in the ceremony that as a university jointly built by the Ministry of Water Resources and Zhejiang Province, ZJWEU is a pilot and demonstration school of application-oriented construction in Zhejiang Province. It always adheres to the educational concept of educating people with water and cultivating people with culture. By taking this opportunity of applying for the 2021 Collaborative Innovation Center of Zhejiang Province, we will cooperate with Zhejiang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology to achieve win-win cooperation in water engineering heritage protection, water culture and water conservancy science and technology history research.

Director of the Institute Fang Xiangming warmly welcomed President Xu and briefly introduced the history and main research directions of the Institute. He said that the ancient relics in Zhejiang, represented by Liangzhu and Hemudu culture in Yuyao, contain rich and diverse water conservancy facilities, which are of great research value. He looked forward to working with the Water Institute to achieve fruitful results together.

It is reported that the Collaborative Innovation Center for Water Engineering Heritage Protection will cooperate with the National Irrigation and Drainage Commission of China, Zhejiang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, Zhejiang Water Resources Society and other units to carry out in-depth and continuous collaborative innovation work in water engineering heritage protection, beautiful river and lake construction, water culture research, etc.
