ZJWEU Reached Initial Agreement on Cooperation with Birmingham City University and HZ University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands

On January 15th, the online cooperation meeting was held between Birmingham City University and ZJWEU. Professor David Proverbs, director of International Affairs from School of Computer, Engineering and Built Environment, Professor Michael Gerges, director of International Cooperation Department; and Susi, Higher Education Officer from British Consulate General Shanghai attended the meeting.

The Chinese side firstly introduced the university and put forward the idea of applying Chinese-foreign cooperative institution. With the expansion of the exchanges between the two sides, a new chapter of cooperation will be opened in scientific research cooperation, and joint training of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

At the meeting, Professor Michael Gerge introduced the development status and cooperation intention of Birmingham City University. He said that Birmingham City University has established close cooperative partnership with many Chinese universities, and hopes to continue to develop in-depth cooperation in the future. The British side recognizes the idea of applying for the Sino-foreign joint education institution and looks forward to taking this project as a new opportunity to carry out in-depth exchanges and cooperation in teaching and research between the two universities.

On January 16th, representatives from HZ University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands visited ZJWEU. The two sides had in-depth discussions on academic education, student exchange, summer study Tours, academic visits and etc., and reached a preliminary consensus, indicating that starting from student exchange, all-round and multi-dimensional cooperation will be achieved in the future.
