From June 7 to 9, vice president Zhao Bo was invited to attend the China Europe Water Platform (CEWP) meeting, which was jointly organized by the Ministry of Water Resources of the Peoples Republic of China and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Action of Portugal on behalf of the European Union.

The 13th the Joint Steering Committee Meeting of the China Europe Water Platform (CEWP) was held online. Representatives from the Ministry of Water Resources of the Peoples Republic of China and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Action of Portugal attended the meeting and delivered speeches. A total of 150 people from Portugal, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, EU and other countries and international organizations, representatives of water management departments, embassies, consulates and enterprises in China, as well as representatives and experts from relevant units and scientific research institutions of the Ministry of Water Resources, local water conservancy departments, water conservancy enterprises, etc. attended the meeting. Tongji University, Hohai University and ZJWEU, as the only three university representatives of the 17 Chinese member units, attended the meeting.

It is reported that the China Europe Water Platform (CEWP) was established in 2012. As an important cooperation initiative and partnership mechanism, the platform aims to comprehensively promote policy dialogue between China and EU, joint scientific research and business cooperation in the field of water.
