On October 22, the 3rd Hydraulic Engineering Talentsand Education Forum was held at Hohai University. This year's forum was hosted by China Association of Hydraulic Engineering Education, organized by Hohai University and Institute of Human Resources, Ministry of Water Resources, and co-organized by Jiangsu Provincial Water Resources Department and Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute. The leaders attended this forum included Tian Xuebin, Vice Minister of Ministry of Water Resources, Pan Xianzhang, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, etc. And other leader from more than 20 provincial and municipal water departments (bureaus), more than 30 water universities (colleges), and more than 20 large water employers, totaling more than 200 people, attended the forum. The forum focused on the new stage of high-quality development of hydraulic engineering talents, with three sub-forums on hydraulic engineering talents industry development, hydraulic engineering talents training and hydraulic engineering talents training supply and demand dialogue. President Hua Ertian was invited to attend the forum as a guest of honor.
On behalf of the supply side of hydraulic engineering talents training - universities, Hua mainly talked about the topic of "how to better serve the needs of industry and enterprises for talents training" and carried out an in-depth and frank dialogue with the demand side such as China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute, CISPDR Corporation and Power China, etc.
