Recently, ShanghaiRanking Consultancy released the University Major Rankings, which were made according to 5 categories of indicators, such as school conditions, discipline support, major student source, employment, and major conditions, with a total of 19 measurement indicators. In the rankings, the major of Cost Engineering of ZJWEU ranks 32nd across the country and 1st in Zhejiang Province among the 142 universities with the major of Cost Engineering.
The Cost Engineering Major was approved as the first-grade undergraduate major in Zhejiang province in 2020.
The backbone teachers of the Cost Engineering Major in ZJWEU are all qualified as the Cost Engineer, and five of them are qualified as bid evaluation experts in Zhejiang Province. Besides, one of them has the National May 1st Labour Medal and enjoys the State Council Special Allowance. and three of them are Outstanding Teachers of the Ministry of Water Resources. Over years’ painstaking efforts, the teachers of the Cost Engineering Major have achieved fruitful teaching outcomes, such as three second-class awards for excellent teaching in Zhejiang Province, one Chinese National Quality Course, one National Excellent Course for Sharing, two provincial online courses, and one provincial first-class course.
With excellent teaching staff, we have cultivated many outstanding professionals. The employment rate (including students gaining further education) of the Cost Engineering major has always remained above 95%, and many graduates have become the senior elites in the industry. More than 30 graduates have started their companies, more than 200 have become middle-level and above leaders in enterprises, and most of them have become professional backbones of their companies.
